Moving along

My awesome parents came to visit. Okay not just to visit, but to get us unpacked (we're completely out of boxes) and get us organized. They spent 4 days slaving away. We got a TON accomplished! We can now see our bedroom floor, park in our garage, open organized closets, got rid of hornet's nests (both literally and figuratively), defrosted our deep freezer, got my craft room out of boxes, and got rid of a bunch of boxes. It's the best feeling ever to have a place for everything and everything in it's place. Without their help, who knows how long it would have taken us.

While my parents were here, the package arrived. The great, big, huge package. The one that weighed 75 pounds! Kurt put it up on the back of the couch for the big reveal. While we love it, we just don't know if it's the right painting for our living room. We're debating if we should send it back and replace it with something else.
It's titled Everyday objects by Arnot.

We are still painting our upstairs. Painting takes F.O.R.E.V.E.R. We are painting every square inch of it. Every wall, baseboard, door, and every closet. Thats 18 doors front and back. When we moved in, there were (picture) holes everywhere, scuff marks, and dirt on every wall. Thus the bane of our existance........painting. Who knew that picking out paint colors would be so stressful?!? If you didn't, it is! But I do love the color we picked for our living room.
Got it from the Home Depot. It's from the Martha Stweart line, but matched to Behr paint. It's called Mossy Rock.

Things are moving along but not completely finished. We have 50 things going at once. It has been nice shopping and picking out items that we love. We have been waiting for this moment, this house moment; where we can finally do whatever the heck we want, for 9 years.

Huh well you are WAY ahead of us. Could we borrow your parents please! We still have a basement full of boxes. Love the paint color too! Miss you.

I'm really impressed. We have been in our home for almost 4 years and I'm still not parking in the garage (thanks to the hubby and all his manly power tools. :)

The home looks great. Love the kitchen. Love that you have such great parents to come and pitch in. It's amazing what you can get done with a few extra sets of hands.

So if your craft room is all organized again, does that mean you are going to start stamping soon?? Did you let your demonstrator-ship drop?
