Decrapification & A Birthday

For the last couple of weeks, we have been purging our home as we pack it up for the move. I have been liberal in chucking stuff left and right. It's been liberating. Normally, I am the pack rat and hoard stuff. BUT with this move, I see it as a new beginning or phase of our life. I am ready to start over, and get rid of all the junk. Besides, all of the stuff that I've packed around/hoarded for the last 11 years of our married life is pretty much just crap now.

Decrapification = Liberation

Yesterday was Isaac's birthday. He is growing up fast. This is the year that he grew out of the toy phase. It was all clothes and accessories this time around. He is stylin' with his new watch, wallet, and short and shirt combo. Oh, and socks. New socks. New socks that will probably have holes the size of Texas in the heels in about a week. Socks. I hate them. I don't know what it is with boys and socks and never putting shoes on when they go outside. Holy socks are the one thing that really drive me CRAZY......stepping off my soapbox now.
We celebrated by going to the movies. On a school night. At the real movie theatre. Not the dollar one. Something we rarely do. And after the bill, I remember why. We saw Ironman. When we got home, Gavin told me that he had a crush on me. Then he told me that he is Ironman and I am Pepper Pots as he ran around shooting fire out of his hands to protect me.

Tomorrow is the big day. It's the day that we sign our lives away. I can't wait!

I wonder where you got your "pack-rat" gene from . . . Could it be from Betty? Congrats on the new house! We're excited for you guys! Can't wait to see you in a couple weeks!
