You've all heard the story about Kyle MacDonald, the guy who traded a red paper clip for a house. Well, his story has always fascinated me. I just thought it was cool to hear of the different people he encountered and the different trades that he made. He started out with a red paperclip and within a years time he made 14 different trades which landed him a house with his last trade. How cool is that!
Well, I got to thinking.....I should try trading something and see what kinds of things I can conjure up within a years time. It may not be a house, but a girl can dream big; right? Although a trip to Hawaii sure would be nice! So starting tonight, February 18, 2008 for one year I will trade with anyone willing to trade. Of course it must be a trade worth trading. And there may be postage involved on your part, unless you deliver it to my house in person. To strike a deal, simply comment me or find my email address on the right hand side of my blog and send me an email. I will then get in touch with you to see what goods you have. I will track my trading progress here on my blog so you can see all the cool things I trade. I will update regularly with each trade I make. So what exactly will I be trading for my first trade????
Well, recently while in Rexburg, ID I found $2 dollars laying on the ground. I looked around and there was no one around to claim it. Knowing that it wasn't mine, I was just going to leave on the ground and be on my way. Instead, I picked it up and put it in my pocket. Well, I still have the $2 dollars, and since this money isn't really mine, I am going to start off with the $2 dollars that I found and give it back to whomever wants to claim it with something else to trade.
So who will trade me something for my $2 dollars. "I want my $2 dollars!" -name that movie.
**I will accept offers for my trades for 2 week periods. After 2 weeks are up, I will pick the best offer and trade with that person. If shipping is involved, the tradee must first send me their item to ensure that I get it. After recieving it, I will then send you my item. Offers will be listed under each trade post.
***I am putting a size restraint for mailing purposes. Your offer must be able to fit in any size envelope, large or small, business or manilla, what have you.

Cort: hmmm....I will have to think about that one. Is it a step down, but seeing how your are my only offer, I may just have to take you up on it.
I have a Vogelgleiter Diseau Styro --- Made of waterprrof styrofoam. (11) Great Tit.
It's a stryofoam model of a Great-tit bird. It fits in an envelope, and has a catchy name.
It's still in the package and would definitely ship, send me a response if your interested or ask me for more!

This is craziness! Who are these people? You want a bottle of yummy lotion from bath and body? It's new...

Christine: Sounds interesting, could you give more details or even send a pic.
I was trying to think of some thing cool to offer, and have yet to come up with any thing. All I have that I think I would like for two dollars is two boxes of Smarties (the Canadian candies) they are kind of like M&M's but better and worth more than two dollars. so there you have it, my lame offer. If I think of some thing better I'll let you know.
Hey I like this idea it's fun to read what every one else has to offer.
I have some crayons that you could create a priceless work of art from and a red foamy bouncy ball for inspiration.

My husband makes the best cookies on the planet - I would be willing to give up a batch - or the recipe!!! We live in Arizona.....so probably the recipe - to fit in the envelope!
