The weeks leading up to christmas always keep us busier than, "A one-legged pirate with a wooden leg in a kicking contest." quote by Kurt.

We decided to adorn our home with christmas lights this year. It wasn't that big of deal until we had no ladder tall enough to reach the front most part of our home. Kurt "went out on a limb" risking his life to put lights on the front our house. It sure looked perdy!


While Kurt was busy trying not to fall to his death, I was busy printing, cutting, and gluing.

Our neighbor gifts consisted of a sugar cookie mix and a cookie cutter.

We kept it simple.

For teacher gifts we made them wordles and framed them. I think this is my favorite teacher gift that we've done. Goto wordle.net to create your own.
We also threw in a large chocolate bar and viola! Finito.

Christmas Eve, Nan and Papa came to spend the night.
They helped us with our yearly tradition of lining our walks with luminaries.

I look exactly as I did when I went to bed. Ha, ha. Makeup and all. Eli-looks a little shocked to be up so early.

The boys were up at 4:30 a.m. They played with their toys from Santa while us old folks slept in until 6 a.m. The best line while the boys opened their Santa gifts was from Owen. "Ohhhhhhh, thank you santa, thank you santa, thank you santa!" He was pleased with all the Bakugan's that he got.

Nan, Papa, Auntie Katie and Auntie Cindy joined us for Christmas. Later that day we all went to Auntie Lisa's for dinner. We ate ourselved sick. Literally.

When I got home that night, I learned the my 9 month old nephew, (Justin's baby) was in the hospital for viral menangitis. Bacteria in the fluid that surrounds the brain.
