Thanksgiving

We were supposed to go home to Rexburg for Thanksgiving. But after word of 2 nasty storms that were rolling in and anti-freeze leaking into our heater core we opted to stay home.

It was a little weird with no family to celebrate with. We are used to hitting Kurt's house and then moving on to my house for seconds. We celebrated the day with just our little family. Since I was the one doing all of the cooking, I opted not to cook a turkey and instead cook a ham. My first preference.

We had a lovely meal.

The boys cleaned up afterwards. It was so nice not to have to be on clean up duty.

Then we took some pics to remember the day.

Kurt kills me in this picture. I laugh out loud whenever I look at him. I think we may have a winner for our christmas cards this year.....

Kurt went to the store and bought Go Fish, Uno, and Dominos for us to play that night. The kids loved it.

At 10 p.m. I went to do my Black Friday Shopping at Walmart. I got everything I wanted no problem, and was 2nd in line to check out. A successful, easy, trip. People: you gotta do your homework, and get in and get out!

We enjoyed the rest of our Thanksgiving time by just chillin' and doing nothing. I didn't cook, or clean. We put up the Christmas tree and decorated the house. When we woke up Sunday morning to snow that just kept coming, our decision to stay home proved to be a good one.

Love the family pics! Sometimes holidays with just the little fam is a nice change. It's been so long since we've had a holiday with actual family, I don't even remember what it's like. Good thing we have good friends to play family for the holidays. :)

Your food looks great! I never do that nice of a spread when it's just the little fam. They wouldn't appreciate the effort.

Hi! I have no idea if you remember our family. We lived in St.Louis when you did... over on old farm Estates. Kurt probably remembers Taylor and Alex. Taylor is on a mission now and Alex is a Senior. We live in Utah... I think you do do.. right? We should totally get together. We knew you when you had only 2 kids... Your family is adorable. We would love to hear from you! www.jennihaywood@yahoo.com. I am also on facebook
adorable family!
